Abstract:
In order to obtain a high-quality image using a spectral-spatial method even when the static magnetic field is nonuniform, the nonuniformity of the static magnetic field of a region to which attention is especially paid among selectively exited regions to be excited by 2DRF is measured, and the result of the measurement is reflected in an imaging sequence using 2DRF. For example, the resonance frequency of magnetization obtained from the result of the measurement is set to the irradiation frequency of 2DRF. A shimmed gradient magnetic field is applied so as to correct the nonuniformity of the magnetization obtained from the result of the measurement. The above irradiation frequency and shimmed gradient magnetic field are used only in the imaging sequence using 2DRF, and in other imaging sequences, the irradiation frequency and shimmed gradient magnetic field set in a conventional method are used.
