Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnetic resonance imaging device and method for adjusting an SAR which enables the desired imaging to be performed within the SAR restrictions when the SAR has exceeded an upper limit, and without altering the pre-set imaging conditions. During imaging of a subject whereby a plurality of pulse sequences are combined, an SAR graph that indicates the change over time of a predicted SAR value of a pulse sequence is displayed and, if the predicted SAR value of the pulse sequence is the same as or exceeds an SAR upper limit, such pulse sequences are replaced or a wait time is inserted.
