Abstract:
 Provided is an MRI device whereby the time and expense required for adjusting a magnetic field can be reduced. In the present invention, an electric current having a rated current value flows to a superconducting coil of a static magnetic field generating device, the non-uniformity of the static magnetic field distribution of an imaging space is measured in a state in which a rated static magnetic field (B_r) is generated, the distribution of a compensating magnetic field to be generated by a compensating magnetic field generating unit disposed in the vicinity of the imaging space is obtained by calculation on the basis of the measured static magnetic field distribution, the current value of the superconducting coil is reduced to a predetermined (greater than zero) low current value less than the rated current value, an electric current having the low current value flows to the superconducting coil, an operator is notified so as to set the compensating magnetic field generated by the compensating magnetic field generating unit to the compensating magnetic field obtained by the calculation in a state in which a low static magnetic field (B_low) is generated, and this process is repeated to reduce the non-uniformity of the static magnetic field.
