Abstract:
A magnetic resonance (MR) multi-core radio frequency (RF) coil device, comprising a first birdcage coil (10) and a second birdcage coil (20) which are coaxially nested, wherein the first birdcage coil (10) comprises four first end rings (11) arranged in an axial direction and a plurality of first leg structures (12), and each first leg structure (12) is connected to the four first end rings (11); the second birdcage coil (20) comprises two second end rings (21) arranged in the axial direction and a plurality of second leg structures (22), each second leg structure (22) being connected to the two second end rings (21); the first birdcage coil (10) is configured to transmit and receive RF energy of frequencies corresponding to three different nuclides; the second birdcage coil (20) is configured to transmit and receive RF energy of a frequency corresponding to one nuclide; and nuclides corresponding to the first birdcage coil (10) and the second birdcage coil (20) are different. Therefore, a relatively uniform magnetic field distribution may be generated in a central region of the MR RF coil device. Further comprised are a control method for an MR multi-core RF coil device and an MR imaging (MRI) system.
