Abstract:
A magnetic resonance water-fat separation and quantification method and apparatus based on echo planar imaging. The method comprises: using a deformation-free point spread function encoded echo planar imaging sequence to collect data to obtain multi-channel downsampled k spatial data, and recovering the k spatial data to obtain complete three-dimensional k spatial data, and performing three-dimensional inverse Fourier transform, and obtaining a three-dimensional amplitude image by means of channel combination; extracting multiple pieces of two-dimensional k spatial data from the three-dimensional k spatial data, and obtaining a complex image by means of two-dimensional inverse Fourier transform and calculating a corresponding echo offset time; and using the complex image and the echo offset time to perform water-fat separation and quantitative calculation, so as to obtain proportions of a water signal and of a fat signal at each frequency peak, and performing calculation of a weighted sum of squares on the three-dimensional amplitude image in a phase encoding direction, so as to obtain a deformation-free water phase and each fat phase. The magnetic resonance water-fat separation and quantification method based on echo planar imaging has strong applicability and high collection efficiency, is free of deformation and T2* blurring effect, has a high signal-to-noise ratio and is simple and easy to implement.
