Abstract:
The invention provides a magnetic sensor and a current sensor, in which flux gates are used while the offset voltage and the change in offset voltage are reduced. A drive section for exciting a sensor coil (2) includes a self-excited oscillator having a sensor coil (2) in its resonant circuit. The self-excited oscillator includes amplifiers used to continue oscillation: an NPN transistor (21) capable operating during the positive side of the oscillation waveform and a PNP transistor (31) capable operating during the negative side of the oscillation waveform. Since the clamping of the oscillation waveform in the self-excited oscillator occurs in the same manner on the positive and negative sides, the oscillation waveform becomes symmetrical or substantially symmetrical with respect to the horizontal axis.
