Abstract:
This magnetic sensor is provided with a magnetoresistive element, a Hall element, and a detection circuit to which a signal from the magnetoresistive element and a signal from the Hall element are input. The detection circuit has an output terminal for carrying out, on the signal input from the magnetoresistive element, at least one form of processing from among amplification, analog-digital conversion, offset correction, and temperature characteristic correction and outputting the resulting signal to the outside as an output signal and an interrupt generation unit for outputting an interrupt signal if the signal input from the Hall element is larger than a prescribed threshold. This magnetic sensor is highly accurate or highly reliable.
