Abstract:
The magnetic sensor device of the present invention, which is for detecting magnetic bodies contained in paper sheets being transported on a transport path, is provided with: a magnetic field generation unit for generating a bias magnetic field in an arbitrarily defined direction on a plane orthogonal to the transport direction of the paper sheets on the transport path; a magnetoelectric conversion element (4), provided inside the bias magnetic field and between the transport path and the magnetic field generation unit, for detecting the magnetic field intensity in the same direction as the bias magnetic field; a correction unit (33) for providing a reference point for representing the output value of the magnetoelectric conversion element by an offset; an amplification unit (32) into which the output signal of the magnetoelectric conversion element and the output signal of the correction unit are inputted, for amplifying a differential output thereof; and a determination unit (34) for determining the magnetic bodies contained in the paper sheets on the basis of the output signal from the amplification unit; wherein the magnetoelectric conversion element changes linearly with respect to the magnetic field intensity.
