Abstract:
An encoder (1) that is a magnetic sensor is provided with a permanent magnet (21) attached to the end face of a shaft and a sensor (32) that faces the permanent magnet (21) and detects magnetic flux (21MFO) emitted from the permanent magnet (21), and the permanent magnet (21) and sensor (32) are provided so as to be capable of relative rotation around the shaft center (P) of the shaft. The magnetic flux (21MFO) discharged from an outer edge portion (21O) of the permanent magnet (21), which includes the outer peripheral face (26), is oriented such that the magnetic flux (21MFO) gradually approaches the central portion (21C) as the magnetic flux (21MFO) becomes closer to the sensor (32), more so than the magnetic flux (21MFO) discharged from the central portion (21 C) of the permanent magnet (21).
