Title:
MAGNETIC SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/061466
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A magnetic sensor of magnetic impedance system the hysteresis of which is reduced with no need of the superposition of a magnetic bias. This magnetic sensor is characterized by comprising a magnetic sensing section consisting of an excitation winding wound around a magnetic core made of a ferromagnetic material, an integration circuit series-connected to the inductance value of this magnetic sensing section via a diode with a polarity causing the current to flow toward the magnetic sensing section, a discharging circuit for releasing the charge accumulated in this integration circuit by pulse drive via the diode and the magnetic sensing section, and a sensing circuit for outputting, as a magnetic sensing output, the average voltage of the integration circuit which varies with a change in magnetic impedance of the magnetic sensing section which fluctuates with a change in the external field.
