Title:
MAGNETIC SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/012959
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a magnetic sensor employing a magnetoresiistive element and capable of performing bipolar operation stably regardless of the polarity of external magnetic field. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] First magnetoresiistive elements (10, 11) have a resistance R variable depending on variations in the field strength of external magnetic field (H1) in the positive direction, and second magnetoresiistive elements (12, 13) keep a constant resistance. The second magnetoresiistive elements (12, 13) have a resistance R variable depending on variations in the field strength of external magnetic field (H2) in the negative direction, and the first magnetoresiistive elements (10, 11) keep a constant resistance. Consequently, a magnetic sensor which can perform bipolar operation stably regardless of the polarity of external magnetic field can be obtained.
