Title:
MAGNETIC SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/148437
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a magnetic sensor that operates by means of a lower power consumption and particularly a low feedback current. The magnetic sensor is characterized by having: a first current wire, a second current wire, and a third current wire disposed in parallel to each other in the given sequence in the widthwise direction, and electrically connected in series; and a magnetoresistive effect element that is disposed below the second current wire, extends along the direction of extension of the second current wire, and has an electrical resistance that changes by means of an induction field arising by means of current flowing through the first current wire, the second current wire, and the third current wire. The magnetic sensor is further characterized by having a length (Ls) from the outside of the first current wire to the outside of the third current wire in the widthwise direction and a length (Wg) in the widthwise direction of the magnetoresistive effect element that satisfy the following formula (1): Ls/Wg ≤ 5 (1).
