Abstract:
Provided is an accurate high-sensitivity magnetic sensor 10. A soft magnetic film 44 is electrodeposited on a surface of a conductor portion 42, thereby enabling an excitation magnetic field Be to be generated in the soft magnetic film 44 by a current Ie being caused to flow in the conductor portion 42 by an electric current supply unit 22, and enabling a detection field generated by a change in a magnetic moment of the soft magnetic film 44 between a state in which the excitation magnetic field Be is not being applied and a state of being magnetized by the applied magnetic field Be to be detected by a coil 50 in order to perform magnetic detection. The magnetic moment of the soft magnetic film 44 is oriented in the circumferential direction of the conductor portion 42, orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the conductor portion 42, and magnetic moments in mutually opposite directions are distributed in substantially equal amounts, and it is therefore possible for the sensor output to have a satisfactory linearity with respect to an external magnetic field Bex being measured by the magnetic sensor 10.
