Abstract:
According to the present invention, a magnetoresistance effect laminate is formed by layering, in order, a fixed magnetization layer that has a magnetization that is fixed in a constant direction that is parallel to the layering direction of the magnetoresistance effect laminate, a first non-magnetic layer, and a free magnetization layer (113) that has a magnetization that changes direction in accordance with a signal magnetic field. The free magnetization layer (113) is ring-shaped as seen from the layering direction and, when the signal magnetic field is not being applied, has a magnetic vortex structure (B) that is magnetized in a vortex around an axis that is parallel to the layering direction.
