Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a magnetic substance quantification device which can suppress the influence on a detection result of the position at which a specimen is placed and obtain the detection result with high accuracy when quantifying the magnetic substance in the specimen. To solve the problem, the magnetic substance qualification device 1, which is equipped with a first electromagnet 2 for generating a first alternating current (AC) excitation magnetic field, and a pickup coil 5, is provided with a pair of permanent magnets 4a, 4b for generating a direct current (DC) excitation magnetic field and a second electromagnet 3 for generating a second AC excitation magnetic field, wherein the pair of permanent magnets 4a, 4b are arranged so as to be coaxial with the first electromagnet 2 with a magnetic substance arrangement portion 102 positioned therebetween, and the first electromagnet 2, the second electromagnet 3 and the permanent magnets 4a, 4b are configured such that the intensity of a magnetic field applied in a superposed manner in the magnetic substance arrangement portion 102 rises as the distance from the pickup coil 5 increases.
