Abstract:
A conductive magnetic toner (3b) comprising a magnetic material, a binder resin and, if necessary, a conductive substance, the magnetic toner (3b) having a softening point different from its softening initiation temperature by 5o C or more. The difference serves to prevent an offset phenomenon during thermal pressure transfer of the magnetic toner of an intermediate transfer image (14) to plain paper (7). The difference can be realized by using two kinds of magnetic materials or carbon black having a different oil absorption or by using two binder resins having different softening points or one binder resin showing a large degree of dispersion.
