Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a magnetic work body with which it is possible to increase porosity and improve heat exchange efficiency, and a magnetic heat pump device using the same. [Solution] A plurality of tubular bodies 30 are formed of a magnetic work substance and include porosity adjustment holes 30a for adjusting porosity when a plurality of rod-shaped bodies are caused to be adjacent to each other, in the axial direction of the rod-shaped bodies, and are joined. The tubular bodies are joined so that the cross-sectional shape of gaps 31 surrounded by the adjacent tubular bodies are the same, and the inner surface of the tubular bodies and of the gaps form a heat medium passage for passing a heat medium.
