Abstract:
A magnetically controlled reactor and a method. A magnetic valve is disposed on at least one pair of core limbs having coils, and the shape and the size of the magnetic valve is configured such that a magnetization curve of the magnetically controlled reactor is formed by sequentially connected segments a1, a2, and a5, wherein a1 is a starting point of the magnetization curve and has a corresponding magnetic induction level of zero, a2 is a certain point of the magnetization curve between the starting point and a knee point and has a corresponding magnetic induction level B2 between zero and a magnetic induction level corresponding to the knee point, a5 has a corresponding magnetic induction level equal to the magnetic induction level corresponding to the knee point, and a magnetic field strength corresponding to a5 is a peak value of a maximum reactor current of the magnetically controlled reactor. The magnetic valve is designed to obtain an ideal magnetization curve of a core of the magnetically controlled reactor, thereby minimizing high-order harmonic components of the magnetically controlled reactor.
