Abstract:
Provided is a magnetism generation unit that is capable of maintaining detection accuracy regarding a rotation angle. This magnetism generation unit is equipped with: a magnetism generating body which is magnetized; a holder in which the magnetism generating body is housed and which is inserted in a recess disposed at an end of a rotating shaft of a rotary electric machine; and an elastic body which is provided to the holder and which works to keep the holder in a state of being inserted in the recess of the rotating shaft by means of a restoring force from elastic deformation caused by contact with an inner circumference of the recess of the rotating shaft.
