Abstract:
Provided is a magnetism generation unit that is capable of maintaining rotation angle detection accuracy. This magnetism generation unit comprises: a case that is formed from a non-magnetic body and comprises a cylindrical part with one open end and a gate part that is on the side of the other end of the cylindrical part, has a non-cylindrical shape with the same central axis as the central axis of the cylindrical part, and is connected to the space inside the cylindrical part in a continuous manner; and a magnetism generation body that fills the cylindrical part and gate part of the case in a continuous manner up to the side of the open end of the cylindrical part, is such that the part filling the gate part suppresses the movement of the part filling the cylindrical part, and is magnetized in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the case.
