Abstract:
Disclosed are a magnetization method and a magnetization device for a magnetic encoder with which double rows of adjacent magnetic tracks can be magnetized with good precision. While a circular magnetic body (1) integrally having double rows of adjacent circular magnetic encoder tracks (2, 3) is rotated, each row of the magnetic encoder tracks (2, 3) is individually magnetized by means of a magnetic head (10) comprised of a magnetic yoke (11) and an excitation coil (12) to obtain a magnetic encoder. With this magnetization method, when one row of magnetic encoder track (2 (3)) is magnetized, the other row of magnetic encoder track (3 (2)) is covered by a mask (5) used as a magnetic shield.
