A recording and/or reproducing device using a magneto-optic disc as recording media, comprising a holder holding the disc and moving between a disc loading/unloading position and a disc installation position, a turn table drivingly rotating the magneto-optic disc, an optical pickup radiating an optical beam onto the signal recording surface of the magneto-optic disc, a magnetic head arranged opposedly to the optical pickup across the magneto-optic disc and moved toward and away from the magneto-optic disc, and an ejector lever installed rotatably to a base and ejecting the magneto-optic disc held by the holder, wherein the ejector lever is disposed on the side of the base where the optical pickup is arranged so that a space inside the device main body can be utilized effectively, whereby the size of the device itself can be reduced.
