Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a magneto-optical measurement method and magneto-optical measurement device capable of acquiring spatial spin wave information. [Solution] A pump light irradiation means 11 irradiates pump light comprising pulse light onto a magnetic object to be measured 1. A probe light irradiation means 12 irradiates probe light onto the object to be measured 1 such that the probe light is delayed from the pump light by a prescribed delay time. A first polarization means 14 linearly polarizes the probe light at a prescribed angle before the probe light is irradiated onto the object to be measured 1. A second polarization means 15 linearly polarizes the transmitted light resulting from the passing of the probe light through the object to be measured 1 while changing the polarization angle within a range including a prescribed angle. An intensity acquisition means 16 acquires the intensity distributions of the transmitted light for each linear polarization angle of the second polarization means 15. An analysis means 17 acquires information about the response of the object to be measured 1 to the pump light on the basis of the linear polarization angles of the second polarization means 15 and the intensity distributions of the transmitted light for each linear polarization angle.
