Abstract:
A damper 100 is provided with a cylinder 10, a piston 20 disposed in a slidable manner within the cylinder 10, and a piston rod 21 connected to the piston 20. The piston 20 has: a piston core 30 having a coil 33a provided on the outer periphery of the piston core 30; a flux ring 35 surrounding the outer periphery of the piston core 30 and forming a flow passage 22 between the flux ring 35 and the piston core 30; an annular plate 40 supporting the flux ring 35 and defining the width of the flow passage 22; a port 24a formed in the plate 40; and a temperature compensation section 60 provided to the piston core 30 so as to face the port 24a and moving forward and backward relative to the port 24a as the temperature compensation section 60 extends and contracts according to temperature, thereby changing the degree of opening of the flow passage 22.
