Abstract:
This magnetoresistive element (1) is provided with a substrate (10), and a laminate body provided above the substrate (10) and formed by laminating an antiferromagnetic layer (14) and a ferromagnetic layer (15). The ferromagnetic layer includes a first ferromagnetic layer (16) formed from Co or an alloy containing Co, and a second ferromagnetic layer (15) formed from an alloy containing Ni and Fe. The antiferromagnetic layer (14) is made from an alloy containing Mn. The first ferromagnetic layer (16) is provided between the antiferromagnetic layer (14) and the second ferromagnetic layer (15), and the first ferromagnetic layer (16) and the antiferromagnetic layer (14) are exchange-coupled.
