Abstract:
In order to reduce the overall length of a piston (20) of a magnetorheological fluid damper (100), the piston (20) is provided with: a piston core (30) that is attached to an end section of a piston rod (21), and has a coil (33) disposed on the outer periphery; a flux ring (35) that surrounds the outer periphery of the piston core (30), forming a channel for magnetorheological fluid; a plate (40) that has an annular shape and is positioned on the outer periphery of the piston rod, and is brazed to one end of the flux ring (35); and a stopper comprising a locking nut (50). The flux ring (35) and the plate (40) are joined by a metal layer.
