Abstract:
The present invention relates to a head (1) for a magnifying lamp, the head comprising a lens receiving member (2) and a lens retaining member (7), wherein the lens receiving member comprises an annular member having inner and outer walls (4, 6) the radially inward wall of which having a shelf for seating a lens. The annular member further has one or more lips (20) extending into the space between the inner and outer walls, the lens retaining member being a substantially flat annular member having one or more downwardly depending retainers (8) for engaging with the underside of the one or more lips of the lens receiving member, the engaging surfaces of the one or more lips and the one or more retainers being arranged to direct the lens retaining member and lens receiving member together on relative movement thereof.
