Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a main mold and core joining device and a main mold and core joining method that, with automation, can comprehensively reproduce core mounting work that has been implemented by core mounting workers using subtle manual sensation. [Solution] The device is provided with: a core grasping and moving means for grasping and moving the core; a core movement detection means for detecting the amount of movement of the core grasping and moving means; a grasped core position and attitude detecting means for detecting the position, orientation, and inclination of the core grasped by the core grasping and moving means; a main mold position and attitude detection means for detecting the position, orientation, and inclination of the main mold; a sensor for detecting a physical quantity applied to the core; and a control means for constantly calculating the relationships between the relative position, orientation, and inclination of the main mold and the core and performing control such that the core grasping and moving means mates the main mold and the core in accordance with said relationships and the physical quantity applied to the core, as detected by the sensor.
