Abstract:
The disclosed main roller for a wire saw has wire grooves with increased rigidity, improves cutting precision, and can improve the yield of a product. As well as maintaining the rigidity of the partitions and a high level of yield, even when thinning a product, the main roller inhibits early wear of the wire grooves, greatly extending the life of the main roller. At least the outer layer of the main roller comprises a urethane resin, and a plurality of wire grooves are circumferentially formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof. The urethane resin is a cured product of a composition comprising 1,5 naphthalene diisocyanate [A], a polyester polyol [B], and a hardening agent [C] having a lower molecular weight than the molecular weight of the polyester polyol [B]. Compenent [C] is characterised by containing a diol (C1) and a triol (C2).
