Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a makeup assistance device that can accurately extract makeup techniques for making a user's face more like a goal face image. [Solution] Said makeup assistance device comprises the following: an imaging unit (2) that takes a picture of a makeup user's face, yielding a face image; an input unit (20) via which a goal face image is inputted; a composite-face-image generation unit (12) that generates a plurality of composite face images in which different makeup techniques have been applied to the makeup user's face image; a similarity-degree determination unit (22) that determines a similarity degree between the goal face image and each composite face image; and a makeup-technique extraction unit (24) that extracts the makeup technique that was applied in a composite face image determined by the similarity-degree determination unit (22) as having a high similarity degree.
