Abstract:
Provided is a male connector 1 comprising: a housing 11 made from a resin and adapted to be fitted to a female connector; a male terminal 12 which is made from metal, protrudes forward in the fitting direction from the housing 11 with a part of the terminal 12 embedded in the housing 11, is formed cylindrically, and has an inside filled with a resin 12G; and a cap 13 made from a resin and covering the front end of the male terminal 12 in the fitting direction. The male terminal 12 has a communication opening 12F provided in the portion thereof, which is embedded in the housing 11, the communication opening 12F providing communication between the inside and outside of the male terminal 12. A protrusion 12D is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the embedded portion. A recess 12J for outwardly exposing the protrusion 12D is formed in the housing 11.
