Abstract:
A male snap which can be configured from a single sheet of metal plate, which is reduced in size in the radial direction thereof, and which does not additionally require a portion for receiving a part of a mounting member. A male snap (10, 10’) is formed by drawing from a single sheet of metal plate such that the male snap comprises: a double wall structure base section (11) including a base upper section (11a) and a base lower section (11b); a single plate structure projecting section (12) projecting upward from the base section (11) and received on the female snap (20) side; and an engaging section (13, 13’) extending from the front end of the projecting section (12) and swelling outward radially. The base upper section (11a) extends inward radially from the base end of the projecting section (12) and receives a staking portion (33) of a mounting member (30) when the male snap (10, 10’) is mounted to cloth (1). The base lower section (11b) is turned downward from the inner end radially of the base upper section (11a) and extended outward radially. The base lower section (11b) makes contact with the cloth (1) when the male snap is mounted thereto.
