Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a maleimide copolymer; a method for producing the maleimide copolymer; and a resin composition using the maleimide copolymer. A maleimide copolymer which is composed of from 40% by mass to 60% by mass of an aromatic vinyl monomer unit, from 5% by mass to 20% by mass of a vinyl cyanide monomer unit, from 35% by mass to 50% by mass of a maleimide monomer unit and from 0% by mass to 10% by mass of a monomer unit that is copolymerizable with the preceding monomer units, and which has a glass transition temperature of 165°C or higher and a melt mass flow rate of from 25 g/10 minutes to 80 g/10 minutes at 265°C under a load of 98 N, is able to have enhanced fluidity without deteriorating heat resistance imparting properties.
