Provided is a maleimide resin compound having excellent storage stability. Also provided is a highly safe secondary battery using the maleimide resin compound having excellent storage stability. The present invention relates to a maleimide resin compound having a terminal maleimide group sealed by a compound that dissociates when heated. In addition, the present invention pertains to an electrode active substance coated by the maleimide resin compound having excellent storage stability.
