Abstract:
This malfunction diagnosis method involves diagnosing whether a switching element that is provided to an electrical apparatus and is repeatedly switched on and off is malfunctioning. The malfunction diagnosis method includes: a step for determining whether there is an abnormality in the current flowing in the switching element when the switching element has been controlled to be in an on state; a step for determining whether there is an abnormality in the voltage at the switching element when the switching element has been controlled to be in the on state; and a step for determining the switching element to be malfunctioning when it has been determined that there is an abnormality in the current and/or the voltage.
