Abstract:
A man-conveyor handrail shape measuring device: is provided with a light guiding unit (15) that guides measuring light for a handrail (10) having a C-shaped cross section opening into the C-shape; based on the measuring light, acquires distance data to the back face of the handrail and two-dimensional distance data to the back face in the width direction of the handrail with a two-dimensional sensor (11-14) and calculates the dimensions of the C-shape; and compares preset reference data to the calculated dimensions and determines dimensional normality. In addition, the device acquires the distance data to a tension body (30) embedded in a transparent resin that forms the inner layer of the handrail with the two-dimensional sensor; calculates the height and pitch dimensions of the tension body from the acquired distance data; and compares preset reference data to the calculated dimensions and determines the normality of the tension body disposition.
