Abstract:
The present invention provides a man-powered wheeled stair evacuation apparatus which is capable of carrying a person who is unable to go up and down the stairs by oneself and safely climbing the stairs and which can also safely travel on level ground. The man-powered wheeled stair evacuation apparatus according to the present invention includes: a seat; a front leg frame; a foldable rear leg frame; a rear frame on a backrest side of the seat; a holding part disposed on a distal end portion of the rear frame; a three-wheel caster; a rear wheel caster having at least one wheel; and a carrier belt comprising a belt wound around a head pulley and a tail pulley. The three-wheel caster is attached to the front leg frame, the rear wheel caster is attached to the rear leg frame, and the carrier belt is attached below the seat. The front leg frame may have an attachment mechanism for a pulling auxiliary belt and a helper can wrap the pulling auxiliary belt around the waist or around the shoulders to pull the apparatus.
