Abstract:
Disclosed is a management device wherein a voltage detection unit detects a voltage across an electricity storage unit. A current detection unit detects a current flowing in the electricity storage unit. A control unit estimates the state of charge (SOC) of the electricity storage unit by means of an open circuit voltage (OCV) method on the basis of a voltage detected by a voltage detection unit, and estimates the SOC of the electricity storage unit by means of a current integration method on the basis of the current detected by the current detection unit. The control unit compares with each other the SOC estimated by means of the OCV method, and the SOC estimated by means of the current integration method, and determines whether there is a minute short-circuit in the electricity storage unit.
