Abstract:
In the event that a problem has occurred in a part of a voltage detection system, a voltage detection circuit (31) in this management device (30) detects the voltage of each of a plurality of cells (S1-S8) that are connected in series, in order to make full use of the capacity of the respective cells. A plurality of discharge circuits (R11-R18, Q1-Q8) are respectively connected in parallel to the plurality of cells (S1-S8). A control unit (32) executes equalization control by controlling the plurality of discharge circuits (R11-R18, Q1-Q8) on the basis of the voltages detected by the voltage detection circuit (31). The control unit (32) is configured to be able to select between a first mode in which real chargeable capacities of the respective cells ((S1-S8) are made uniform on the basis of the detected voltages and the full-charge capacities of the respective cells (S1-S8) at present, and a second mode in which real dischargeable capacities of the respective cells (S1-S8) are made uniform on the basis of the detected voltages and the full-charge capacities of the respective cells (S1-S8) at present.
