Abstract:
Provided is a management method to be executed by one of a plurality of devices having a distributed ledger that manages the history of a process of consumption of a resource with an expiration date by a plurality of users. In the management method, when a first user performs at least one of (i) consumption, from a predetermined amount of a resource with an expiration date, of a first amount of the resource and (ii) delivery of a second amount of the resource from the predetermined amount of the resource to a second user, first transaction data including the history of at least one of consumption and delivery performed by the first user is stored in the distributed ledger. If there is a remaining amount of the resource in the predetermined amount of resource that has not been consumed by a plurality of users and remains as of the expiration date, a holdup period indicating a period the first user has kept the resource is calculated with reference to the distributed ledger, a holdup value in a holdup index, which is an index related to the holdup of the resource, is calculated for the first user on the basis of the holdup period, and the calculated holdup value is output.
