[Problem] To provide a destruction device management method capable of maximally suppressing the risk of an information recording medium, which is supposed to be treated as a waste, being taken out and distributed into a used-goods market and the risk of information leakage from the information recording medium. [Solution] In the present invention, a server device records individual identification information, destruction device identification information, and location information received from a portable terminal into an information recording means. Because of this, the server device is able to perform centralized management of information on a person who performed destruction work using acertain destruction device at a certain location. In other words, when destruction of an information recording medium using a destruction device is executed, the record of the event is always kept in the server device. Therefore, because practically no information recording medium can be taken out to the outside (by pretending as if the information recording medium has been destroyed) without operating any destruction device at all, the risk of an information recording medium being taken away by a malicious employee and the like can be suppressed.
