Abstract:
A management system stores management information, connected to a computer system comprising one or more kinds of storage devices. The management information includes (a) information that has for each manager request, information representing a storage function (function of storage device) necessary for achieving a function that satisfies the manager request, and (b) information having had information representing a storage function for each storage device. The management system (A) receives a request from the manager, (B) identifies an achievement pattern including the storage device that has the storage function necessary for achieving the function satisfying the received manager request on the basis of the information from the aforementioned (a) and (b), and (C) configures the settings for achieving a function that satisfies the aforementioned received manager request with respect to any one or more achievement patterns that are identified.
