Abstract:
This entrance/exit management system comprises: a reading device that is disposed at an entrance gate and that reads personal information of a user; a storage unit in which the read personal information is registered; a database in which personal information for authentication is registered in advance; and an authentication unit that authenticates the registered personal information by performing a collation with the personal information for authentication registered in the database. The entrance/exit management system includes a first operation mode for allowing entry, based on the reading of personal information of a user by the reading device, of the user having the personal information that was read. In the first operation mode, after entry of the user has been allowed, the authentication unit authenticates the personal information registered in the storage unit and does not allow the user to exit until authentication of the personal information registered in the storage unit is successful.
