Abstract:
A management system, and network element management method and device. The management system comprises an element management system (EMS), a first network element (NE), and a second network element. The first network element is configured to send, upon receiving a management configuration instruction, a broadcast message, and configure a second network element having a first communication link established with the first network element as a network element governed by the first network element, report to the element management system the second network element governed by the first network element, and send, by means of the first communication link, to the second network element a control instruction sent by the element management system. The second network element is configured to establish, upon receiving the broadcast message, the first communication link with the first network element, and perform, according to the control instruction received by means of the first communication link, a corresponding operation. The element management system is configured to send, if it is determined that the second network element is governed by the first network element, to the first network element the control instruction of the second network element. The system, method, and device in embodiments of the present invention can be employed to reduce the volume of communication of a network element management system.
