Abstract:
The present invention relates to a manhole cover assembly, wherein locking means, in which a rotary locking rod is inserted through a locking hole formed at a manhole cover and through a locking groove formed at a cover frame to lock the manhole cover at the cover frame, is arranged to maintain the manhole cover in a firmly fixed state against forces applied by an external source, and to enable the manhole cover to be easily unlocked from the cover frame if necessary to thereby enable easy separation of the manhole cover from the cover frame. The interior of the cover frame installed on a manhole of a sewer pipe has anti-odor means to guide rainwater to the inside of the manhole and to discharge odors or noxious gases from the inside of the manhole only if the gas causing odors or the noxious gas is higher than a predetermined pressure level, in the cases of manholes installed in a location in which damages caused by odors are predicted, thereby minimizing damages caused by odor.
