A manhole cover, comprising a fastening device (10), and a cover device (20). The fastening device (10) comprises a support component (11). The support component (11) forms a communication channel (111). The cover device (20) comprises a cover assembly (21) and a lock assembly (22). The cover assembly (21) comprises a cover component (211). The lock assembly (22) comprises at least one lock component (221). Each lock component (221) is separately and operably disposed at a lower portion of the cover component (211), such that when the cover component (211) is mounted to an upper portion of the support component (11) to close the communication channel (111), an operation end of said lock component (221) is separately operated to move a locking end of each lock component (221) to below the support component (11), or the locking end of each lock component (221) is moved away from below the support component (11). Also provided is an operation method of a manhole cover.
