Title:
MANICURING ENAMEL REMOVER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1989/007931
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A pasty manicuring enamel remover and a process for its preparation are disclosed. Conventional manicure removers mainly comprise a low-boiling solvent such as acetone, and hence they have the defects of leakage, evaporation, ignition, pollution, and serious solvent odor and are apt to damage nails and skin around them. This remover is prepared by swelling sodium montmorillonite modified with a high-boiling solvent of propylene carbonate to cause gelation to thereby make it pasty and can overcome the above-described defects. Fats, oils, vitamins, water, etc. may further be added thereto to keep nails and skin around them healthy. The enamel remover is applied to nails to dissolve and remove enamel.
