Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve controllability without generating differences in the path lengths of multiple wires for driving an end effector even if a long section is bent in one direction. This manipulator (1) is provided with: a slender long section (2), an end effector (3) disposed on the leading end of the long section (2), a driving section (4) disposed on the base end of the long section (2), and at least one wire for transmitting the power generated in the driving section (4) to the end effector (3). The long section (2) is provided with a bending part (5) in which multiple pieces that are disposed along the central axis thereof are linked so that adjacent pieces are able to pivot around pivot axes, which are disposed so as to be in a twisted positional relationship with respect to each other. The wire is disposed so as to pass through the positions of intersection with each pivoting axis at a position that is displaced from the central axis in the radial direction.
