Title:
MANNOSE ISOMERASE GENE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/025443
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A polypeptide having the amino acid sequence at the 20- to 434-positions of SEQ ID NO:2, which originates in a microorganism belonging to the genus Agrobacterium, exhibits a mannose isomerase activity excellent in thermostability and conversion efficiency. Also, polypeptides having amino acid sequences derived from the above-described amino acid sequence by substitution, deletion or addition of one or more amino acids and exhibiting the mannose isomerase activity are constructed. These polypeptides can be obtained by modifying the DNA sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
