Abstract:
The invention is related to mantilla and scarf type hijabs in rectangular and square form respectively, which are worn for aesthetic, religious or traditional purposes, are woven with threads made of synthetic fiber, silk or cotton, especially used for protecting hair from damaging external factors and covering the body and cover most of the head top or the head entirely and it is characterized as a hijab (1) that contains minimum one folder snap fastener group which is composed the first male snap fastener below the chin (9) and the first female snap fastener below the chin (10) on the front side (2) and minimum one male and female snap fastener on the read side (3); as a hijab that contains a folder right male snap fastener (5), a folder right female snap fastener (5), a folder left male snap fastener (7) and a folder left female fastener (8) on the rear face (3), wherein all opposite male and female snap fasteners can be substituted to each other's position; wherein the front side (2) contains a second male snap fastener below the chin (15) and a second female snap fastener below the chin (16); wherein the snap fastener groups on the right or left side contains the first female snap fastener below the chin (10) and the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) and the snap fastener groups on the right or left side contains the second female snap fastener below the chin (16) and the first male snap fastener below the chin (9) and wherein; there are Velcro (bands) instead of snap fasteners and the front side (2) contains a right side male snap fastener (11), right side female snap fastener (12), left side male snap fastener (13) and a left side female snap fastener (14) in an alternative embodiment. The invention is related to mantilla and scarf type hijabs in rectangular and square form respectively, which is transformed into a two-layered structure by folding depending on the head size and/or type in order to ensure a comfortable use and it is characterized as it contains minimum one snap fastener group that is composed of minimum one male snap fastener (18) and minimum one female snap fastener (17) that can be positioned differently by shifting up and down in proportional to the folding point for size adjustment, as it contains minimum one male snap fastener (18) and minimum one female snap fastener (17), one of which is positions on the right and the other one is positioned on the left side, as it contains minimum one snap fastener group that is composed of minimum one male snap fastener (18) and minimum one female snap fastener (17) that can be positions with or without interlining and as it contains Velcro (bands) instead of snap fasteners in an alternative embodiment.

Mantilla and scarf type hijabs in rectangular and square form respectively, which are worn for aesthetic, religious or traditional purposes, are woven with threads made of synthetic fiber, silk or cotton, especially used for protecting hair from damaging external factors and covering the body and cover most of the head top or the head entirely characterized in that; it is a hijab (1) that contains minimum one folder snap fastener group which is composed the first male snap fastener below the chin (9) and the first female snap fastener below the chin (10) on the front side (2) and minimum one male and female snap fastener on the rear side (3).

Mantilla type rectangular or scarf type square hijab (1) mentioned in claim 1 characterized in that; it is a hijab (1) that contains a folder right male snap fastener (5), a folder right female snap fastener (6), a folder left male snap fastener (7) and a folder left female fastener (8) on the rear face (3), wherein all opposite male and female snap fasteners can be substituted to each other's position.

10. Scarf type square hijab mentioned in claim 8 characterized in that; it comprises at least one female snap fastener (17) and at least one male snap fastener (18) positioned on diagonal edges.

11. Mantilla type rectangular or scarf type square hijab mentioned in claim 8 characterized in that; it comprises at least one snap fastener group that is composed of at least one male snap fastener (18) and at least one female snap fastener (18) that can be positioned with or without interlining.

12. Mantilla type rectangular or scarf type square hijab mentioned in claim 8 characterized in that; a velcro (band) is included instead of snap fasteners in an alternative embodiment.

D E S C R I P T I O N

MANTILLA OR SCARF TYPE HIJABS

Technical Field

This invention is related to mantilla and scarf type hijabs, which are worn for aesthetic, religious or traditional purposes, thick woven with threads made of synthetic fiber, silk or cotton, especially used for protecting hair from external factors and covering the body and cover most of the head top or the head entirely.

Prior Art

Women's hijabs used in our country differ from region to region in terms of tying up, pattern and fabric. Today, covering the head is a very common practice among Muslim women in Turkey. Therefore a scarf or a mantilla is one of the most important clothing accessories for women covering their heads.

In current state of art, scarves in square or rectangular form, which are thick woven generally with threads made of synthetic fiber, silk or cotton. Since the scarf is a thin cover, maintaining it on the head is a very serious problem. Furthermore, being a think and extremely light material, makes it difficult to position it on the head and shoulders in desired way or to maintain it in desired form. A ready-to-wear scarf is mentioned in the national utility model document with the number TR2012/10215 contained in current art. Such document is related to covering materials such as scarves, mantillas for ensuring wearing-taking off them without using any equipment such as needles etc. and keeping them on the head constantly without losing its shape and any deformation and it is characterization is that, it is composed of an interlining fixed on the its body made of satin, etc., a supporting portion created in a way that the interlining remains inside, the head placement portion created by a number of snap fasteners fixed on the supporting portion and tassels. In such application, the quantity of snap fasteners is far away from ensuring desired comfort for use. Furthermore, positions of the snap fasteners in proportional to each other make it impossible to use the invention as described in the specifications. Again, types of snap fasteners used in terms of being male and female, were not indicated, either.

Purpose of the Invention

The purpose of the invention is to create a hijab that can be worn easily, positioned on the head and shoulders in desired way, wherein the desired for can be maintained at the highest level during use and consequently a stable appearance can be obtained.

In order to realize aforesaid purpose, front side (2) and rear side (3) of the developed hijab (1) contain snap fasteners.

Detailed Description of the Mantilla Type Rectangular Hijab

The invention, which is requested to be registered, is an easy-to-wear mantilla, scarf type hijab (1). Front side (2) and rear side (3) of the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) contain snap fasteners. The front side (2) contains the first male snap fastener below the chin (9), the first female snap fastener below the chin (10), a right side male snap fastener (11), a left side female snap fastener (12), a left side snap fastener (13), a left side female snap fastener (14), the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) and the second female snap fastener below the chin (16).

The rear side (3) contains minimum one folder snap fastener group that is composed of at least one male and one female snap fastener. Rear side (3) contains a folder right male snap fastener (5), a folder right female snap fastener (6), a folder left male snap fastener (7) and a folder left female snap fastener (8). All snap fasteners mentioned above exist on the interlining (4).

Functions of the snap fasteners and methods of application of the hijab (1) are explained below. The folder right male snap fastener (5) is locked on the folder right female snap fastener (6). The folder left male snap fastener (7) is locked on the folder left female snap fastener (8). Therefore the portion just above the forehead area becomes two layered. Thus the forehead is exposed and the portion of the hijab just above the forehead area gains a more rigid stable and aesthetic appearance.

First male snap fastener below the chin (9) is locked on the first female snap fastener below the chin (10). Thus the hijab is fixed on the head. Right side male snap fastener (11) is locked on the right side female snap fastener (12). Left side male snap fastener (13) is locked on the left side female snap fastener (14). Thus, parts of the hijab on both sides of the head gain a more stable and aesthetic appearance. Finally, the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) is locked on the second female snap fastener below the chin (16). After this operation, the hijab is ready to use.

When the hijab (1) is unfolded, it is seen that a group of snap fasteners is located close to the right side of the hijab and another group of snap fasteners is located close to the left side of the hijab regardless of whether the snap fasteners are male or female or available on the front or rear side. The first female snap fastener below the chin (10) and the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) can be in right or left group (side) provided that they are on the same side of the hijab (1). Likewise, the second female snap fastener below the chin (16) and the first male snap fastener below the chin (9) can be in right or left group (side) provided that they are on the same side of the hijab (1).

In the alternative embodiment of the mantilla type rectangular hijab, the first male snap fastener below the chin (9) is not locked on the first female snap fastener below the chin (10). In return, the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) is not locked on the second female snap fastener below the chin (16), either. As an alternative, the first female snap fastener below the chin (10) and the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) on the same side of the hijab (1) are locked on each other. First female snap fastener below the chin (16) is locked on the first male snap fastener below the chin (9). Thus, both ends of the hijab (1), which sway from one side to the other, wound around the neck in the desired way, just like a neckerchief.

All male and female snap fasteners opposite to each other cam be substituted for their positions. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, Velcro (band) is used instead of snap fasteners. The invention brings a great facility especially for visually impaired people.

Detailed Description of an Alternative Embodiment of the Mantilla Type Rectangular Hijab

In the alternative embodiment of the invention the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) contains minimum one snap fastener group that is composed of at least one male snap fastener (18) and at least one female snap fastener (17) on the front or rear sides. The snap fasteners located on the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) are locked on each other below the chin. Each of the female fastener (17) and male fastener (18) is located on right or left sides of the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1). For example; when the left female snap fastener (17) is located close to the right side, the male snap fastener (18) is located close to the left side. Positioning of the male fastener (18) and female fastener (17) on the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) is shown in Figure-3. Furthermore, when the long edge of such hijab (1) is folded in two, the female snap fastener (17) and male snap fastener (18) overlap. This does not apply when the short edge is folded.

When the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) is used; the portion remaining just above the forehead area becomes two-layered. After this operation, the male fastener (18) and female fastener (17) on the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) remain below the chin. The female snap fastener (17) and male snap fastener (18) are overlapped and locked.

The hijab (1) which is given a two-layered structured as the result of folding in two is shifted up or down in proportional to the folding point in order to adjust positions of the snap fasteners for users with varying head sizes. Therefore the user can adjust the mantilla type rectangular hijab (1) according to her and lock the snap fasteners. Finally the user can wind both ends of the hijab (1), which sway from one side to the other, around the neck in the desired way, just like a neckerchief.

All male (18) and female (17) snap fasteners opposite to each other can be substituted for their positions. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, Velcro (band) is used instead of snap fasteners. The invention brings a great facility especially for visually impaired people.

Front side (2) and rear side (3) of the scarf type square hijab (1) contain snap fasteners. The front side (2) contains the first male snap fastener below the chin (9), the first female snap fastener below the chin (10), the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) and the second female snap fastener below the chin (16). Rear side (3) contains a folder right male snap fastener (5), a folder right female snap fastener (6), a folder left male snap fastener (7) and a folder left female snap fastener (8). Functions of the snap fasteners and methods of application of the hijab (1) are explained below. The rear side (3) contains minimum one folder snap fastener group that is composed of at least one male and one female snap fastener. The folder right male snap fastener (5) is locked on the folder right female snap fastener (6). The folder left male snap fastener (7) is locked on the folder left female snap fastener (8). Therefore the portion just above the forehead area gains a rigid appearance. Thus the forehead is exposed and the portion of the hijab just above the forehead area gains a more rigid stable and aesthetic appearance.

First male snap fastener below the chin (9) is locked on the first female snap fastener below the chin (10). Thus the hijab is fixed on the head. Finally, the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) is locked on the second female snap fastener below the chin (16). After this operation, the hijab is ready to use.

In return, the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) is not locked on the second female snap fastener below the chin (16), either. As an alternative, the first female snap fastener below the chin (10) and the second male snap fastener below the chin (15) on the same side of the hijab (1) are locked on each other. First female snap fastener below the chin (16) is locked on the first male snap fastener below the chin (9). Thus, both ends of the hijab (1), which sway from one side to the other, wound or tied around the neck in the desired way, just like a neckerchief.

All male and female snap fasteners opposite to each other cam be substituted for their positions. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, Velcro (band) is used instead of snap fasteners. The invention brings a great facility especially for visually impaired people. Detailed Description of an Alternative Embodiment of the Scarf Type Square

Hijab

In the alternative embodiment of the invention the scarf type square hijab (1) contains minimum one snap fastener group that is composed of at least one female snap fastener (17) and at least one male snap fastener (18) on the front or rear sides. The snap fasteners located on the scarf type square hijab (1) are locked on each other below the chin. Scarf type square hijab is made ready to use by folding opposite corners on each other. Thus diagonal edges of the scarf type square hijab overlap and a triangular appearance is gained. The female snap fastener (17) and the male snap fastener (18) can be on the front or rear sides of the scarf type square hijab (1). Each of the female fastener (17) and male fastener (18) is located on right or left sides of the scarf type square hijab (1). For example; when the left female snap fastener (17) is located close to the right diagonal edge, the male snap fastener (18) is located close to the left diagonal edge. Positioning of the male fastener (18) and female fastener (17) on the scarf type square hijab (1) is shown in Figure-6. The scarf type square hijab (1) is folded diagonally by the user and the portion remaining just above the forehead area becomes two-layered. After this operation, the male fastener (18) and female fastener (17) on the scarf type square hijab (1) remain below the chin. The female snap fastener (17) and male snap fastener (18) are overlapped and locked.

The hijab (1) which is given a two-layered structured as the result of folding in two is shifted up or down in proportional to the folding point in order to adjust positions of the snap fasteners for users with varying head sizes. Therefore the user can adjust the scarf type square hijab (1) according to her and lock the snap fasteners.

All male (18) and female (17) snap fasteners opposite to each other can be substituted for their positions. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, Velcro (band) is used instead of snap fasteners. The invention brings a great facility especially for visually impaired people. A more simple and practical uniform (one size) product is obtained by using minimum amount of snap fasteners or Velcro (band) on both the scarf type and mantilla type hijab (1). Furthermore, the user is able to adjust is according to her by shifting is since one point fixing is performed. The female snap fastener (17) and the male snap fastener (18) can be fixed on both scarf type and mantilla type hijabs (1) without an interlining or as an alternative, they can positioned on the interlining as well.
